Vera Recognized on the CRN Security 100 List
Today, I’m excited to announce that CRN has named Vera to its inaugural Security 100 list for demonstrating innovation in Data Protection. Honoring companies bringing channel-friendly solutions for data security, the CRN Security 100 celebrates innovators at the forefront of security within the channel and the IT market at large.
We’ve made a strong commitment to help our partners deliver advanced data protection solutions to their customers, extending encryption, access controls, and information rights management beyond enterprise borders. Our partners know that to meet the ever-increasing demands their customers face to meet compliance and regulatory requirements, they need strong data security and visibility that can reach beyond our mobile, app-driven enterprises.
Selected as one of the ’15 Coolest Identity Management and Data Protection Vendors,’ we were pleased to see CRN combine identity management and data security together, as well – managing access to information is a universal challenge and we’re seeing a strong convergence in the importance of identity and data control, requiring organizations to strike the right balance between convenience and security. In 2015, we strategically partnered with Centrify and Okta, enabling businesses to harness the cloud for increased collaboration and file sharing, as critical data travels across hybrid-cloud services and privileged devices.
Over the last year, we’ve taken a significant step towards helping organizations adopt public cloud platforms, especially those in regulated industries like financial services, legal, and healthcare. For example, we’re helping investment firms faced with increased SEC scrutiny comply with regulatory guidance for encryption, access rights, and data loss prevention, while also promoting better security behavior and widespread awareness. As part of our recent partnership with Richard Fleischman and Associates (RFA), the trusted technology partner in the asset management industry, we’re providing the security tools to protect confidential financial information without arresting collaboration. We’re also working with Skyhigh and other partners in the CASB space to extend data security controls to a wide range of SaaS applications.
At Vera, we know all too well that security can no longer be an afterthought and we can no longer protect our crown jewel data assets with perimeter or point security solutions. From our founding, we charted a different path than traditional security companies; our focus on usability and secure collaboration is what make us appealing to financial, healthcare, and entertainment companies alike. We’re defining the next epoch of security by building the trusted standard for securing and sharing information.
