Breaking the CyberSecurity Mold: Vera Wins Enterprise Encryption Solution of the Year

Innovation and invention is not a predictable process. Throughout history, we have seen long periods of developmental plateaus, punctuated by chaotic, exciting periods of progress, innovation, and world-changing inventions. There’s a great example in our current decade, with the explosion of new transportation technology – from mass-market electric cars to semi-autonomous vehicles – driven largely by rising fuel prices, environmental concerns, and the global political climate.

Breakthroughs often happen when external forces in a market reach a tipping point. And, based on everything that’s happened over the last year, I think the security industry is at such a point. There’s a fundamental need for organizations to protect their intellectual property, their employees’ personal data, and the data they manage on behalf of their customers. The team here at Vera has been hard at work making the dream of building a better platform to protect data directly, helping our customers break through this challenging environment.

Which is why I’m thrilled to announce that today Vera has been recognized by the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards as a cutting-edge security company. Alongside industry heavy hitters and rising stars like Symantec, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Minerva, CipherCloud, Lookout, and Bitdefender, we’re helping to rapidly advance the state of data security in the enterprise.

The CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards honors excellence and recognizes the innovation, hard work, and success of startups and established companies alike. This year over 2,000 global nominations were reviewed to find the leaders in Cloud Security, Threat Detection, Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Mobile Security, and Email Security. Vera’s powerful platform was selected as winner of the “Enterprise Encryption Solution of the Year,” due to our ability to protect the confidentiality and integrity of enterprise data without hindering workplace performance, giving customers the ability to encrypt, track, and control how rich content is used, no matter where it’s stored, or how it’s shared.

Data breaches and other attacks on confidential information have a massive economic and personal impact. And unfortunately in 2017, they’ve been a daily point of discussion. Fortunately, information security is an industry constantly looking to advance the conversation and open the opportunity for new, innovative technologies to make themselves known. In particular, these awards are a great peek into the future, letting us see how we can work together to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the world’s most sensitive data.
