2017 SC Awards: Inside Infosec’s Biggest Night
As the biggest night in Hollywood approaches and the industry’s biggest stars prepare to enter the Dolby Theater on February 26th, the security industry held its own rendition of the Academy Awards at the 21st Annual SC Awards, honoring the most innovative information security technologies for 2017.
The SC Awards are a huge opportunity for new, innovative technologies to make themselves known and disrupt the industry stalwarts. It’s also a chance to peek into the future of security and see how we’re going to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the world’s most sensitive data.
The centerpiece of the evening was the battle for the 2017 Trust Award in the Best in Cloud Computing Security category, pitting five innovative finalists against each other: Gemalto SafeNet Protect, Imperva Skyfence, Threat Stack, Vera, and Virtru.
Despite the fierce competition, Vera came out ahead and we’re honored to be named the 2017 Trust Award Winner in this category (thank you SC Media)! Used by more than 300,000 employees across the Fortune 100, Vera is the only solution that can protect enterprise data no matter how employees share, communicate, or collaborate, without requiring additional downloads or client installs.
This award continues the momentum we’ve built over the last year. In 2016, we increased our Fortune 100 customer base by 5x, tripled revenue growth, and we’re actively securing millions of files for its enterprise customers.
In just the last few months, we’ve also released support for Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive, secured the Adobe Creative Suite, integrated Duo two-factor authentication, and built platform integrations for data created and shared through Slack, Confluence, and Alfresco. The SC award is the third and final trophy in the Security Grand Slam. Now, we are one of the only companies recognized as a “Most Innovative Startup” Finalist in the 2016 RSA Innovation Sandbox Competition, named a SINET 16 winner by Security Innovation Network, and honored with the SC Magazine Trust Award.
